| India is a Rising Star in the Print Market
in New Deli at the International Trade Expo Centre. After several years of successful market exploration in the fast growing Southeast Asia region, we believe that India will be the next rising star in the printer ink market. As the world's fourth largest economy, India has the third largest GDP in the entire continent of Asia, only behind United State, China and Japan in Purchasing Power Parity (PPP)* India's economic growing momentum produces a strong driving force for the printing /aftermarket industry to unleash its huge purchasing potentials. According to Garner, India's segment for Page A4 MFP continued to grow in the second quarter of 2013 and posted an increase of 12 percent compared to the second quarter of 2012. HP continued to perform well in this segment, with a growth rate of 37.4 percent and a market share of 59 percent. Samsung, again at No.2, dropped slightly with its market share at 20.3 percent, Canon’s shipments declined a little, and it accounted for 12.1 percent of the market. In addition, the Page A3 MFP segment showed an increase of 14.7 percent compared to the second quarter of 2012. Canon again led the market with 27.9 percent market share; while Konica Minolta was No. 2 with 17.2 percent market share. Canon continued to perform well in the low and mid speed monochrome device market for this segment. Konica Minolta’s performance remained stable as compared to the second quarter of 2012. Comprising more than 40 per cent of the world population, nearly 30 per cent of the land mass, the collective economic power of BRICS nations is demonstrated by the fact that their GDP increased from 16 per cent in 2000 to 25 per cent in 2010, Sumita Dawra, counsellor of the economic affairs of the Indian embassy here, said while addressing a meeting of BRICs officials. As such there has been shift in global growth engines towards BRICS and emerging market economies, Sumita said. Within BRICS itself, China and India have been fastest growing economies, accounting for almost 20 per cent of the world GDP in 2010, she said. Print volume's continued growth in the segments of the page A3 and A4 MFP has offered a growing space for the aftermarket's lower-cost products and as an alternative for customers to save money. China, which has the largest manufacturing capacity of producing a large quantity of lower-cost products, offers the emerging market with choices or options that OEMs are not able to extend to its customers. proven track record as a business development platform catering to the print and office consumables aftermarket, will be the only place for your business to venture into within the Southeast Asia region.
